Welcome to what has been the Erasmus Family home for the last 40 years.
The Rasmus is a newly restored family homestead on the Historic Farm Waterkloof. It has a direct historic link and living lineage to the famous Erasmus Family.
The last owners of one of Pretoria's most well-known and loved landmarks, The Erasmus Castle.
The owner Carl Erasmus is a direct third-generation descendant of the original family member(fondly referred to as "Oom Jochem") who had the Castle built as a family house for the Erasmus Family and posterity.
This is truly an undiscovered gem amid the hustle and bustle of the City. A luxury guesthouse on a 20 Ha working farm in town. Welcome to our world of tranquillity only a heartbeat away from all that a buzzing city has to offer... right on our doorstep!
Enjoy the early morning farm life sounds of sheep and cattle lazily grazing on green grass surrounded by beautifully landscaped gardens. Enjoy the waterfall cascading into one of the biggest Koi ponds in SA has to offer.
Haven to what I affectionately refer to as my "Dragons!".
These are fine specimens of the most magnificent Koi to be found anywhere in the world. Our luxury guesthouse consists of 9 Rooms and can accommodate up to 18 guests.
From single to King size beds, all rooms have en-suite bathrooms and all have a private outside patio to step out on and enjoy the farm feeling.
Each room has a refrigerator and stocked minibar, electric kettle, flat-screen TV with DSTV and Free WiFi throughout the guesthouse.
Furthermore, all rooms have air conditioning and a lockable personal safe.
All this luxury, peace and calmness amid tranquil farm surroundings just 10 minutes from Pretoria CBD and a mere 20 minutes drive from OR Tambo International Airport!

A brand new hotel upgrade means that our rooms are more comfortable than ever. We’ve integrated new convenience and luxury features such as an improved air-conditioning system and electronic keycard access to rooms. So guests can rest assured that security is of prime importance to the hotel.
Plus, guests now have access to complimentary wireless internet in all rooms, leisure and conference areas.
Rooms are either fitted with one double or two single beds and boast views of the city and the landmark Union Buildings, particularly spectacular at night.
- Check-in time is from 14h00 to 20h00. Where possible early arrivals may be accommodated.
- Check-out time is at 10h00 daily.
